The boardwalk is in a state of disrepair, though the worst areas were marked with caution tape (and the new boards/posts were laying near the main building). There are small plaques every dozen yards or so, explaining the local flora and fauna. There are three lookout pavilions, one right on the intercoastal which boasts a great view. In a few... More

Unfortunately, we didn't seen any baby alligators or birds. The boardwalk is in desperate need of maintenance with weak boards and nails sticking up. In addition, the back of the building needs attention. It's very run down.

We've visited here 4 times in the past month and every time we saw something different. It is very overgrown in October, but it's a nice walk through different ecosystems. There are now some small shoots of poison ivy growing up through the boards near the start of the walk, and growing up through the handrails near the end of... More

We walked through the trail, taking our time, reading all the signs about the plant life. It was peaceful and a really nice place to go. There is also a picnic area with restrooms and a playground area.

About a half mile of boardwalk through a few different environments. I went on a cool early morning and had the place to myself. A nice look out area in the back of the boardwalk. Signage along the way give one an idea of what to look for in each area. Didn't see much wildlife, but it was cool and... More

This is a short nature walk but enjoyable as you will see a lot of different birds, alligators, and sea creatures. Nice boardwalk to walk on so you can see all that this nature center offers.

nice little walk with nature along the way. signs along the way told you about the plant life which was nice. the path way was sound and wide enough. apparently we passed right by the alligators while we focused on the scenery.

Our family took a detour to explore this small nature boardwalk on our way to dinner, and we are so glad we did! Even though it was a bit chilly in January, we saw baby alligators right beside the boardwalk. They were tiny and chirping for mom, so we knew she wouldn't be very far away! We saw a few... More

Visited this place again after 2 years, and we were pleased to see that it had been trimmed back. My previous review mentioned that poison ivy that had grown up onto the boardwalk. It has been cut back so it sits far off the edge of the boardwalk.. We visited this place 4 times over a month and each time... More

Easy, short hike with very nice boardwalks and nature-viewing spots. Wear comfortable shoes, sunscreen and don't forget your insect repellent!
