I used to visit the park often until a druggie burned down The Senator. The park is nice for picnics, walks and viewing a little history.

Being a huge fan and nature lover of trees seeing this duo has been on my bucket list. Even with the charred remains of the Senator, it was worth the drive to see these magnificent giants. Can you think of any other living thing that...More

Short boardwalk to see a burned relic of a cypress tree and another large cypress; interesting for a nature lover, but uber-boring for most people; kids will be more interested in the playground equipment than the boardwalk! The most redeeming factor is the parking and...More

This is a nice place to stretch your legs and get a little peace in the woods. The board walk leads you to where the Senator once stood, it's sister tree is nearby.

It's a nice enough small city/county park. Nice children's play ground. Short trail into the forest. But the Big Tree, the Senator, is gone. Burned down by a looser drug addict. Very sad! However, a great bicycle trail starts just outside the park, and goes...More

This certainly was a nice park but missing some big trees. There was one that was fairly large but I'm told an even larger one stood here too but burned down. It is a nice park. Certainly worth a stop if you're in the area...More
