If you are in Longboat Key Joan Durante Community Park is worth a quick visit. Nice views, great short walks, both water and tree/vegetation scenery. Young children will enjoy the playground equipment. Good for a 30 minute to 1 hour visit.

It was a cloudy day and we were looking for something to do, passed this park, not knowing anything about it. What a pleasant experience! Lots to see and beautiful walking paths.

Pleasant surprise to discover a 32 acre clean well maintained wetland park. The walking trail is well mapped, a combination of sea shells and all weather wood including a nice playground with clean toilet facility. Multiple views of the Sarosta bay. If in the area,...More

We stopped here while riding bikes on Longboat. Very nicely done with walking trails, a gazebo and a bay overlook.

This is a great little park on Longboat Key. It’s really not a destination park. We had a nice walk through while we were driving up toBradenton Beach, and we’d recommend the same to you. But it’s not worth a trip just for this.

We took a bike ride to this park. Walked around the area and had a picnic lunch and hung out for a while just people watching and enjoying the scenery.

What a great little park! The seashell trails are very well kept. Much of the trails are shaded or partly shaded. They take you to the bay. It's a great place for a 15-20 minute walk and a great place to take the dogs.

Much of the parking area is gravel ,but the trails are certainly amenable to a scooter. Have fun.
