If you are in Longboat Key Joan Durante Community Park is worth a quick visit. Nice views, great short walks, both water and tree/vegetation scenery. Young children will enjoy the playground equipment. Good for a 30 minute to 1 hour visit.

This is a great little park on Longboat Key. It’s really not a destination park. We had a nice walk through while we were driving up toBradenton Beach, and we’d recommend the same to you. But it’s not worth a trip just for this.
What a great little park! The seashell trails are very well kept. Much of the trails are shaded or partly shaded. They take you to the bay. It's a great place for a 15-20 minute walk and a great place to take the dogs.
