We've vacationed in this area for over 25 years and this is one of our favorite beaches anywhere. Clean, perfect sand, plenty of free parking, concession stand, and restrooms. Absolutely love coming here and always a good time.

As beaches go this was ok. Plenty of parking. Sand quality ok. Too many pine trees around which make for debris that is tough on the feet and can mess up your car. Facilities are present but not real clean. Patrons can be a bit...More

What a lovely beach, be it to walk upon, swim, sunbathe, or even people watch. Plenty of parking, shady areas to get under trees, avoiding the midday sun, cafes and showers/ loos.

There are so many award-winning beaches on the barrier islands off Sarasota, Florida, that out-of-towners would have trouble telling one sandy space from another. For example, Siesta Beach on Siesta Key has been named the No. 1 beach in the United States. But Coquina Beach...More

This is the most amazing beach! Have been here numerous times! The sand is so soft and if you do not go by the snack bar there is no one there. Great place to see dolphins!

Spent a lovely day at the beach with two great friends. This was my first trip to Florida and this was a perfect beach: White sand, cool breeze, warm water and gentle surf. It was a Monday visit so the beach was not too crowded....More

Family place to stay right on Lido beach in Sarasota. We've been coming here for at least 25 years. It's a basic beach motel, nothing fancy, but they have a friendly staff, close to St. Armand's circle with all the restaurants and shopping. Book in...More

We stayed the month of January and the only activity we saw that looked gang related was squirrels. No, seriously, we felt totally safe in that area. We walked there approximately a dozen times without incident.

At least two hours - if not longer. This beach is on the south end of Anna Maria Island - which is a good 45-60 minutes from I-75.

There is no charge to park at Coquina beach, though sometimes there are some entry charges to the selected areas for special events, such as the annual symphony on the sands. Even then the parking areas are free.
