Very friendly place

We spent about an hour picking strawberries, feeding chickens and looking around the country store. Huge pot bellied pig was adorable! Wine tasting was fun too! Thanks!

We stopped by for the Strawberry Festival in February. We took our lawn chairs as reccommend parking was great and a shuttle was available for those with difficulty walking. There was enough room for chairs and viewing the band " Red Neck Joe" . We arrived at noon and the food lines were very long ( I would guess a... More

We had just eaten a delicious meal at Jaxons' Restaurant where we were told the chicken and wine were from Henscratch Farms and that we would receive a discount on purchases that day with our register receipt. Arriving at the farm, a very informative hostess explained that we had arrived at a bad time. The wine and chickens had all... More

Went to Henscratch Farms & Winery where we saw chickens that lay green eggs. (Supposedly this is where Dr. Suess got his inspiration.) This farm works with Florida A & M and has a lot of experimental crops and farming methods such as "Hydroponics " which is "soil-free" growing. The picture of what looks like four pots on top of... We have visited Henscratch Farms Winery every year for the past 5 years for their annual Grape Stomp in August. You get to step into a vat with tons of grapes and stomp them "I Love Lucy style." It is the coolest thing ever! There are 200 free range chickens and roosters that run around on the premises. They are... More

Our group of 47 descended upon Henscratch Winery and they handled us with aplomb. We fed their chickens, rested on the fan cooled front porch, sampled their sweet wines, oogled their eggs, and chatted with these very friendly proprietors. All in all, you will probably enjoy this little country winery if you enjoy a country setting, nice shade trees, sweet... More

This trip was planned for the sole purpose of acclimating our 9 month old chocolate lab to traveling. My husband and I like to visit wineries, and on the way to the State Park, we found Henscratch!! The pup wasn't really interested in the wine tasting but she sure got a surprise none of us expected. She just stood and... More
