Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We don’t have Walmart where I come from. Right from the car park this was a trip. Walking past the cops stationed outside, past a bro tingling a gentle bell permanently in what I assume is a signal to attend to the moment, while also appealing for alms for the poor, we then pass a “greeter” at the market threshold. Is this some spiritual welcome to the celestial capital body, a supermarket St Peter in St PEtersburg?

Ah, just realised I’m posting to the wrong store, as I wasn’t in Kissimmee. Never mind, I guess every Walmart is identical in its detail of objective reality. Or maybe not. Are all heavens alike? Is each Walmart ineffable? Is each greeter a special creature? Are the cops able to be both in one place and another simultaneously? They would if they were parallel synthetic entities - something for Elon Musk to work on, in some kind of billionaire’s utopian fantasy where cops are every 10 metres. Like in Havana.

Anyway, the place in st Petersburg was epic. The greeter was effusive, but I do think a robot could do much the same job, or a homeless Mexican child. Walmart. WallSmart, more like. Ho ho no. You can buy virtually anything here and I mean that literally, not virtually. I picked up all my Christmas presents there, from fishing rods to a space nerd t-shirt, a Yoda bandana and a pair of plastic girls earrings fashioned after dream catchers but designed for a chickens head. There was even a deli, so you could easily have all three daily meals there and basically just kind of move in forever, if you had enough cash. There was a pie there that was so glazed in butter that I thought myself transported to some Heavenly Table, at which the good gather to feast on spit roast chickens, yams and hams. I resisted the temptation, because a little hunger makes us alert to the whim of the Lord and he wanted me to shop. Oh. Btw, I wasn’t being literal about buying virtually everything because the only thing I couldn’t find was a gun, which I’m told they have regrettably withdrawn from sale, but I did buy some bullets and other things you could class as weapons. So I guess that is literally virtually anything. They didn’t sell medical marijuana either, but I did get a good draft on some paint thinner in aisle 14 and spent ten minutes staring at the wind chimes and singing Christmas songs to myself. The staff are really polite and helpful and I like the rotary bagging system a lot, if not the copious amount of plastic in the oceans provided by this company.

I left transformed, thinking about our vulnerable universe and my finite place in it. I thought about my past actions and future selves. I thought about the shiny accessories. I thought about Elon Musk. Mostly I thought about the pie at the delicatessen and my chagrin at not sampling its wares. So I went back inside and bought it and ate it on the curb right by the greeter at the door, while the cops patted down a homeless dude. It was just and it was right.

Don"t ever go here, the lines are VERY long sometimes 30 people deep! This is supposed to be the 2nd busiest Wal Mart in the Country and it shows. Placed an order ahead of our arrival and they canceled it saying it was too large. WTF! Go to a Publix or Target do not put yourself through this. My wife had to have her friend stay in line as a place holder while she ran around gathering groceries, that's the only way they made it out alive.

The. Store was jam packed and lines were all the way to the back of the store. Workers seemed overwhelmed, I know we were. Find another place to grocery shop.

Even though it’s conveniently located by many resorts, it’s TOO crowded. Customers will not get out of your way when you say excuse me. They seemed to be understaffed as all of the registers were not opened. It took us almost an hour to reach the register when standing in line. Many necessity food items were gone. Next time we’ll shop at another Walmart.
Why is Walmart listed up here anyway as “things to do”?

They had lots of items for sale but sizes were limited which am guessing because of it being summer a lot more people are in the area. Didn’t get any food or anything like that was just looking for gifts to take back to some family members that weren’t Disney but that was a total failure.

And am pretty sure they are understaff as they didn’t have many lines open so what little I did find I put back as I wasn’t going to stand in line for an hour for 2 things.

Wish they had more to offer beside Disney

The shelves at the end of the store were less cared upon and thus had an unorganized and dirty look.

History of Walmart

Walmart as we all know it today evolved from Sam Walton’s goals for nice value and great customer service. “Mr. Sam,” as he was known, believed in leadership through service. This belief that true leadership depends on willing service was the principle on which Walmart was built, and drove the choices the corporate has made for the past 50 years. such a lot of Walmart’s history is tied to the story of Sam Walton himself, then much of our future are going to be rooted in Mr. Sam’s principles.

The worst experience I ever had in customer service. I am a front desk manager at the big hotel chain at I was in shock that Walmart employees have no customer service skills. I bought an item in Walmart.com. It was damaged. I brought it to the store. The only thing I asked it was to help me return that. The only thing I heard was .. we can not help you and it is nothing we can do because I bought it through 3rd party. Ok I am a customer and I went to Walmart.com because I trusted Walmart. I understand I should not bring that item to the store but I side I wasn't aware that it is different because I bought it on line. Customer service was so poor I still can't believe that. I asked for manager. Roy came. No empathy, just it is nothing what I can do since you bough through 3rd party. No apology, nothing. I never felt this way in my life. Terrible experience

If you need to buy something, then you have a Walmart. Should not be on trip advisor. Nothing special here.
