Great access to paddleboard and kayak trip in mangroves

I rented a tandem kayak and circled an island plus ventured into the Gulf (on a calm day) - very scenic and enjoyable. Cost $28 for kayak and gear.

We recently spent one night tent camping at curry hammock on our way home from Bahia Honda in the keys. The beach is absolutely beautiful, and pretty unique in that there are no waves at all. Its the ocean, but its more similar to a lake in terms of tides. A ranger told me that there is a coral reef... More

Randomly pulling off Florida's Ocean Highway down the Keys, we found this serene oceanfront State Park complete with pristine beaches, picnic benches and clean bathrooms. We stopped merely to picnic, but got a whole lot more for our $6 investment. Warm tranquil waters, typical for the Keys, surround the long, and some private, coral-sanded beaches. Although it was spring break... More

We popped into the park on a day pass and spent an hour or two on the beach. It's a nice little beach (was very empty when we were there), with a few picnic tables and lovely sand. The water was cold (we visited in March) and so we didn't really swim, but it was a lovely little place to... More

Stopped returning from Key West. Kayak rentals, picnic pavillions, small sandy beach with beautiful clear water. Nice place.

We visited the Florida State Park, Curry Hammock on two occasions and found it to be a very restful place to sit and relax. There is a limited amount of parking, a children's play area, public amenities, picnic tables and kayak hire.

Very nice beach and park. Restrooms are well maintained. Signage is good and the park is very clean and picturesque.

We spent half a day at this park, rented Kayaks for two hours and explored the surrounding keys on a self guided trip. Reasonable rental rate for the kayaks and the waters are mostly protected making for relatively easy paddling. Ate a picnic looking out over the Atlantic." Hiked " the mile and a half nature trail through the hammock... More

This is a great park. We are staying in the campground. Secluded sites, oceanfront for a lot of them, secluded beach, real sand (not like the sand at Pennekamp), easy sites to get in (we have a big rig). Definitely prefer this park for camping over Pennekamp. The only negative, as is with all of the State Parks in the... More
