My family and I have been to a handful of butterfly conservatories and I must say the one at Key West has been the best. While small in foot print, it showed large in content and layout. We had an infant child and it worked well. We did not feel rushed or crowded during our visit on a Saturday morning.... More

It is a pricey yet cool place to visit. It can get crowded but your children will enjoy the little garden and the tons of beautiful butterflies. The store is full of items and can get overwhelming. Enjoyable on a rainy day in the keys.

Quietest place on Duval. What a nice break from the heat & humidity of a Key West afternoon as well as the crowds. Nicely set up with an introduction to butterflies with displays and videos. Then you can leisurely wander through the Reserve taking as many pictures of the resident butterflies as well as the very entertaining flamingos Rhett &... More

I went here my first day in Key West first thing in the morning. The butterflies and birds were great and I loved the landscaping. The music too is soothing. This is well worth the admission cost.

Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservatory was very fun. Good for all ages. The Tropical Bird sanctuary was very interesting and fun as the birds would fly from hand to hand. It was well worth the visit.

We were disappointed with the butterfly house -- thought it was too small an area and did not have a large variety of butterflies. We heard so much about how many butterflies would land on you, but that just didn't happen. They did have a pair of flamingoes; however, they were confined to such a small space, I felt sorry... This was a last minute decision on a rainy morning and so glad we went! Very informative movie in beginning with displays. The actual butterfly garden is beautiful with so many butterflies all around you. Birds as well. And two flamingos who were very entertaining. Of course you exit into the gift shop, but it was also very well laid... More

Upon entering the conservancy we were virtually surrounded by numerous butterflies sporting a kaleidoscope of colors. Walking along the path we observed brown butterflies resting on plants, but as they opened their wings to fly threat wings were an amazing blue color. As we came around a bend in the path we saw a small pond occupied by pink flamingos... More
