Had a fun time looking at some very nice paintings, drawings and sculptures (many associated with Ernest Hemingway's The Old Man and the Sea). Very interesting history regarding the Navy/military on Key West.

My guess is that many thousands of annual visitors have no idea how historic, political and colorful Key West's past was. Spending an hour in this museum will change all of that! The building itself has a great history and the manageable exhibits within are...More

If you have seen all the main attractions, this may be worth a small amount of your time. The outside of the building and the outdoor sculptures are awesome. Inside, there are changing exhibits. I would give this a solid C.

Yes! You'll be thoroughly immersed in the Old Man and the Sea vis a vis the pen and ink drawings that line the walls of the interior staircase. A room or two is dedicated to his time there, too. Enjoy!
