A sunny place for shady people. The Green Parrot is the first and last bar on US1, and brings Key West the best live musical acts from across North America. Equal parts honky-tonk, dive bar and local hangout, The Green Parrot defies definition in musical range, decor and drink selections. Voted best live music venue in Florida by Florida Magazine. You'll find everyone at The Green Parrot - from Key West politicians playing bingo on Mondays to boat captains dancing into the night with their "catch of the day."

I last visited the Parrot 17 years ago, it was really fun!!! Not so much this time. It was kind of dead that night so we moved on. We'll try again whenever we come back to Key West.

Oh, Green Parrot, how I used to love thee. You were once true to your "no sniveling" motto -- but then, slowly, you lost your way. Cash only changed to credit cards accepted. Miller Lite cans on ice were pushed over to make room for the blenders. After Pat Croce took an interest in the place, we suddenly found ourselves... More

Noisy, full of people having fun, with live music when we were there. If you fancy (what seems to a couple of Brits as) an authentic American bar experience, do stop here for a drink or a few.

Not the most modern place you will visit. But what a place. Drinks are cheap compared with other places, and the mood is very relax. (NOT) This is a place with music and sometimes a band playing. Then it's crowded.
