Higg's Beach and Smather's beach are near each other and offer the waders and baskers (I am both of these) a very nice spot to relax away from the revelers. On an earlier visit we rented a Hobie Cat and enjoyed the 8-10 knot breeze,...More

I love beaches so ..... In any case this is a very nice beach. We saw the sun go down here and come up here. There is a very nice pier at this location that allows you to see the sunset and rise. It also...More

While this had parking and was nice, don't take your own umbrella because you can not stick it in the ground without a drill. If you need an umbrella, rent it but get there early before they give out.

Perfectly calm and serene, most people come here to fish ... I didn't find it to be the most perfect to swim in as the waters are mostly rocky, with big crabs and I fear the marine life to be messing up with my swim...More

Very relaxing and not very crowded. We relaxed and did a little walking. Since most people that visit Key West do other activities than relax on a beach we enjoyed our time. The bathrooms were adequate and parking was free.

We enjoy coming to this area for lunch at Salute on the beach. It’s white sand, blue water make it inviting. We have never sunbathed here but it looks nice. There are lounges for use and beach seems clean. There are also walking paths.

Very nice beach with lilos and umbrellas available. Ample parking, restroom facilities and an excellent restaurant, Salute just off the beach.

As many know the keys are full of rock and coral beaches. Very painful. This beach was sandy. I went out quite a distance and it is all soft and sandy. Place to change, food available. We plan on returning tonight to watch the sunset.

Nice beach, not the best in Florida, but clean. Lots to do around the area. The old fort is a garden club, but wasn't open at he time due to damage from Irma. There is an AIDS memorial nearby. Rental equipment, pretty much everything you...More

The city of Key West is really nice and clean but the beaches down here aren't nice and this one is the worst. We took a taxi from the port and every since we walked in smells like trash and toilet, there is no space...More

Jut a tip the beach at Fort Zach State Park is closer..... and it is a lovely beach with picnic tables and some natural shade available under the giant pine trees.
