The aquarium is very small with the main attractions being nurse sharks, sting rays and turtles. However, because of its small size, the aquarium allows visitors to get up close and personal with the sea life. There's an activity every 30 minutes including interactive feeding of string rays and sharks and the activities are repeated every 2 hours or so.... More

My family and I felt like we lucked out when we found this cool little aquarium. It's small and tucked in an older building but holds so many opportunities to actually interact with local sea life. The presentations were given by informative and approachable staff that even included my daughters in the shark feeding experience. We really liked this quaint... More

This small but we'll organized aquarium was a very worth while visit. Guided tours every thirty minutes provide a mountain of information in a short period of time. The exhibits are well maintained and full of colorful and interesting fish inside while outside there are large sea turtles who have run into man in a bad way. As you watch... More

Small but interesting. Concentrates on the local waters and the fish that inhabit them. Worth seeing.

This aquarium is very small, but it had quite a few interactive exhibits, i.e., the stingray pet tank, and a couple of demonstrations when they fed the sharks in the center tank. A bit overpriced given how small it is, but fun to do if it rains during your Key West visit.

The aquarium is small, but it is still a fun stop. They have the fish tanks along the walls and open pools I the center. The first pool is the touching area, but the second pool is a kids favorite with all the sharks (no touching in that one). Out back there is a large inlet that is blocked off... More

Activities/ tours are probably all interesting, but don't go expecting to see a lot of exhibits. This is an old fashioned aquarium giving an insight into how they were done 100 years ago - this has its own charm but is very different to a modern aquarium!

Sea turtles, manta rays and sharks are the large attractions, lots of small tanks also with interesting local reef and sea creatures.

My family and I vacation in Key West almost every year and the KW Aquarium is always one of the first stops we make. Both my kids (ages 5 and 10) have been coming here since they were born and the staff does a great job on the tour of explaining what they do and providing info about all the... More
