Well if your going to visit there is a $14 tour charge that only accepts cash ! Guess they don't want to jump into the world of technology. Pretty much hidden by the trees and shrubs - love the wire fences to keep the famous cat population in. Worth the trip - just bring cash !

The Hemingway house was a nice visit. The guides give you a nice history lesson of the beautiful property. My favorite part was seeing all the cats on property. Ask about military discount.

I am a cat person, so I really wanted to do this tour! To be honest, I wasn't as interested in the information about Ernest Hemmingway, but the tour guide really captured your attention, and I learned a lot about the history of the house, history of the cats, and all about Ernest Hemmingway. Very interesting tour.

We were given a private tour by Chris who was fantastic. You could hear, see and feel his passion for Hemingway. The museum has lots of wonderful pieces and be sure to check out the writing room.

A visit to the Hemingway Home and Museum was not part of my plan while visiting Key West! I am so happy I decided to go! It was by far, one of the most interesting home/museums I have ever been to! The guided tour was about 40 minutes long and we were totally captivated by the information and stories provided... More

Great tour. Did not know what to expect, but was amazed. Loved the cats everywhere...their names, and the history of them alone is worth the visit.

Have lost count on how many times I have visited The Keys. The last 2 times we actually stayed in Key West. On all of my trips I have gone to the The Hemingway house. I tour the house and then the grounds and enjoy cat watching.

We toured this house/museum and fully enjoyed the interesting stories told by our guide. It contained a lot of the original furniture and was also the home of 50 + cats that are ancestors of Ernest Hemingway's cats. The tour as informative, beautiful and humorous. A must see!

This is a great stop. The tour was informative and took around 40 minutes. The home and grounds are beautiful, and we learned a lot about Ernest Hemingway. Worth taking a few minutes out of the day while walking around.

Thank you very much for your excellent 5-star review! As a South Carolinian, you may share our enjoyment of the fact that your home-state of South Carolina actually has a city named Hemingway. The town of Hemingway was created from a crossroads community named Lamberts in 1911 by Dr. W. C. Hemingway, in an effort to secure a depot for... More
