The fort is something a history nut like myself likes to climb around on, but there is more . The park and the beach is great for picnicing , swimming or snorkling , this was the best stretch of beach we encountered in 8 days...More

We totally enjoyed this park. There is snack food available on site so we were able to stay all morning. Lots of sand to play in and the beach is wonderful. There is a rock island the kids could swim to and lots of creatures...More

We arrived just in time for the only tour of the day. Well worth the hour plus it took to hear the history of the fort. Even the teens were learning! Bill was our ranger and was full of information, engaged the kids into the...More

We went twice, we liked it so much. Snorkeled a lot, saw tons of fish and a couple rays, nice, clear water. Also found some amazing coral on the beach, and some shells. Really a lovely park. (Not very sandy, though.) One day it rained...More

This place is beautiful. They have lounge chairs to rent, a small bar/restaurant. You can tour the fort AND go to the beach. Bring good water shoes, though, the water is amazing, but the beach is very rocky!

My son is 4 and couldn't get in the water because he couldn't walk the 4 feet in past the rocks so the waves kept knocking him down on those rocks and he ended up all cut up from the experience. Worst beach I've been...More

Opening at 8am, a visit was well worth the time as for the first 3-4 hours very few patrons entered the beach area. It was quiet and aside from the wind and waves the only noise were birds chirping and a the occasional boat speeding...More

Great place for historic buffs. The snorkeling was fun and the fort was interesting. I would recommend the flying out over the boat short 45 min flight. Must see in Key West
