We were looking for the nice beaches we have seen on Google images. Well they were not there. Frankly this is not much of an beach area, however the kayaking and related water sports stuff could have potential. But nothing else. You want nice or relaxing beaches? Keep in looking. We will.

Dave L is your man! My sister and I took a tandem kayak trip just a few short loops around the park, and Dave L was the best! He seemed so caring and attentive to each and every person he put into a boat. He even picked a spider off our boat for us just in case we were scared!

We arrived at 2PM. Took the snorkel trip at 3PM. Great weather, no waves, no wind, fantastic reef, fish, plant life. Thanks to Captain Dan, and for Lance for providing additional training to put my mind at ease! So patient, friendly, supportive. My best experience EVER! (I'm the Mom.). Another plus --masks with prescription available which we used so we... More

The most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Low tide, so I scraped my knees a bit but absolutely incredible views.

This was a great for experienced snorkelers and those new to the sport. The guides, Lance and Brian were very helpful, made sure that safety requirements were met and followed, and entertaining. The visibility could have been better, but that was due to the weather. We went to try the snorkeling and get familiar with the park, but will try... More

We are newly certified scuba divers and had only gone scuba diving in the Virgin Islands until recently. We live in Naples and heard Key Largo had good diving. We did not know which outfit to go with so we chose the company within the state park. We found the folks super nice and helpful, the equipment new and the... More

A must see is the aquarium at the visitors center. Varied activities: paddle boarding, glass bottom boats, kayaking and snorkeling. Plan on spending the day. Really nice beach area to have picnic or put on your water shoes and stroll the reef. Hike the trails. Changing bathrooms are located at the park.

Need reservation to take glass bottom boat tour - but it runs 2 x daily for 2.5 hrs. need reservation for snorkeling tour, probably need reservation to kayak..everything is by the hour $, but reasonable for tourist area. Beach small and disappointing. Overall good facilities. I would do this after you have tried waverunners, parasailing, sport fishing, stand up paddle... More

Thank you for your review. The Glass Bottom Tour Boat offers three trips daily. Yes, reservations are suggested. No credit card required. No reservations for kayaks and paddleboards as we have upwards of 200 in our fleet. Waverunners and parasailing while a lot of fun are not consistent with the intent of the Park. The emphasis at Pennekamp is on... More

We drove in 9USD entrance fee for car and 2 people. Not worth it really not much too see and can rent kayaks everywhere in the keys without the 9USD entrance charge .

The Park features no less than 50 miles of mangrove trails for kayaking and paddleboarding. Teeming with wildlife. Seven trails in all, a laminated map included. You could spend a week on these trails. Rates are inexpensive-hourly, half day and full day. Top of the line kayaks and sup's. You are charged for water time, only. Ten minute orientation, paddle...
