We originally visited this beach when we returned from a cruise and had a day to wait for our flight out of MIA. Not being familiar with Key Biscayne, we were very surprised to encounter such a relaxing, low key beach not too far from MIA. It has whitish sand and blue green water. Note- no palm trees for shade.... More

My wife and I recently went to Miami to check out the Cape Florida Lighthouse. The drive to the Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park was gorgeous. It was also well marked on the island of Key Biscayne. The fees were very reasonable. The park itself has multiple beaches right on Key Biscayne Bay. They are all spectacular. We went... More

Great Park to visit when in Miami - Interesting Lighthouse and great views! Beach was ideal for small kids and nice shady places when needed.

The park is clean and the beach is beautiful with calm water. Only complaint is there isn't a good place to get a full picture of the lighthouse. Also saw a snake, yikes, but it is Florida.

This was one of the state parks I was dying to visit ever since we moved to Florida. It's a pretty big state park, with lots of activities to keep everyone engaged, from a dunk in the beach to hiking to climbing the steep lighthouse stairs and it's only a 45 minute drive from Miami. There are many places where... More

We bicycled down from a rental shop in the middle of town. It is a short trip, completely flat, and there is a nice bike lane most of the way. There are lots of birds and iguana, and it is worth a visit.

One of the prettiest and well maintained ocean/bay State Parks just moments from Miami Beach. Amazingly, so much to do there - biking (pedal the quads with your wife and children around the bike path - great fun)), picnicking, kayaking, hiking on the many nature trails, boating. The best? Doing nothing but sitting on the grass or park bench and... More

The park is big nice area of nature to explore around. You pay entrance fee at the station and then you can wander anywhere on the park area. There are many parking lots along the main road and it's handy to move with car to different sections of park. Bike is also good choice and there is a renting booth... More

Five dollar fee to get in; closes at 6:30. We got there at 530, but would have liked to have arrived earlier. We went to watch the sunset which was beautiful..right on the water. Walked around the park and down toward the light house. Very nice!
