If you want to walk back in time, this will satisfy your longing. Lots of historic buildings with interesting history and shops occupying them. The visitor center, in the old train depot, was full of information and helpful people.

Visit downtown Fernandina Beach's historic district and see quaint small town living at it's best! Great restaurants, ice cream parlors, book stores, pubs......there are a few options for touring such as horse carriage, trolley, or by boat!

When traveling in the area, we always make a point to stop on the Island's Historic District. While I would not make this my destination, it is worth visiting while in the area (i.e. St Mary's,GA; Jacksonville).
