We actually live just off the Island but it seems every time we leave our neighborhood it is to the Island. Wonderful shops, restaurants, and benches to just sit and watch the world go by. Every type of restaurant from Seafood ( my favorite) to Italian, Mexican, Bistros, and another favorite Hola Cuban Cafe. A lot of celebrations including the... More

Amazing Amazing Amazing. Great restaurants great people great place to wind down. The sunset at Salty Pelican was perfect as well as the loaded nachos. Ask for Summer, you can thank me later.

Our stay at the Ritz Carlton on Amelia Island mixed business and pleasure. The view from our suite's windows is unforgettable, walking on the beach between meetings was a delight. Enjoyed the artists coops in nearby Fernandina as well as the chance to interact with artists at a weekend farmers market and a church craft fair.

Love heading to the antique stores, walking through the neighborhoods viewing the grand old homes. Many have plaques with the history of the island dating back to the 1700s. We go 2 times a year for a few days because it is so much fun.

We took a tour of the island and the historic district where we stopped to have lunch and shop. Many restaurants to choose from lots of small shops to check out.

Amelia Island's historic district is an amazing place. It is quaint with a feel of times gone by. There is so much to see and do. From pub crawl to shopping, to music scene, to art gallery. What a wonderful place. I highly recommend putting it on the bucket list.

This is a great town to walk around. The visitors center at the waterfront end of Central street is a good place to start. Pick up the free brochures and talk to the very helpful, informative staff. On your walk get off Central street and meander through the side streets to see some incredible classic homes. Of course there are... More

Close your eyes while you are on Center Street in Fernandina Beach and then open them quickly and you feel as if you have been transported to Cape Cod or Maine but with a distinctive Southern Style. Small shops, lots and lots of restaurants - Mexican, French, Spanish, Seafood, Italian - take your pick. We immediately fell in love with... More

Nice small town. Not too many shops, only few less expensive ones. Nice though for a stroll. Some unusual antique shops and inns in the side streets.

The town is laid out and marked clearly so that you can walk and look at your leisure. Stop and shop or find out the history of this seaport. The main street is lined with shade trees, lovely shops on both sides. Very friendly citizens offering help and suggestions when asked.
