This was a wonderful way to learn about the island. Reggie was an excellent driver and tour guide. He had interesting stories, too.

We agree with others, information wasn't too bad, the tape had more information than the driver, who appeared to be bored and not enthused at all.

Leaves everyday at 12:30 and 2:30 and costs $20. Driver plays a well narrated CD while driving around town. Interesting and fun history, scenic tour, and gives you the layout of the downtown area. I recommended this tour.

The tour was primarily on tape with some interspersed discussion by the hostess who really didn't display a lot of enthusiasm....all in all it was worthwhile but not in depth....a map handout would have helped (probably could ha be gotten one at the info station across the street from "start").... We subsequently tried to find a former upscale area but... More

This is a tour on an old trolley with bench seats. The tour has a driver who plays a narrative cd for the passengers to learn various landmarks. Well, it is a cd with zero pizazz and includes errors - which the narrator corrects as she speaks. Does this make sense? Why not rerecord the cd or provide drivers who... More

We always try to do the trolley anywhere we go , just to get an idea of what's the city is about and what it has to offer. This is just an 75-90 minute ride and does the old town area and goes to the main beach area and back.

If you are a new visitor to an area, I suggest always take a Trolley Tour if offered. These tours give you a wonderful overview of an area. Amelia Island Trolleys is no exception. We found places that I had never paid attention to in the tour books, and now, want to return to. Our guide was knowledgeable and a... More

Trolley tour a bit pricey at $20pp but provides a good background for the history of the area and the historic houses and sites that are difficult to search out alone.

The trolley tour, which leaves from the corner of Front Street and Centre Street everyday at 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm is a great way to see a lot of the history of the area. The driver/guide was both knowledgeable and entertaining. The tours last about 1-1/2 hours each. Public restrooms in the "comfort station" adjacent to the Amelia Island... More

We had the pleasure of taking a trolley tour in November. Mr. Reggie was our guide and he was so friendly and very informative about the area.It is a fabulous way to get the lay of the land and get some of the fascinating history. The homes are absolutely gorgeous! A must do when visiting the area!
