Our first goal was to find a picnic table by the water, which was the best feature of the park, because of the views. Several tables were under the trees. Some nice benches were along the water's edge and a small pier helped you take...More

We camped here for a few days. The beach campsites were not disappointing. Enjoyed kayaking and searching for blue claw crabs. The water is very nice. You can place your chair in the water and relax. If your looking for a place just to chill...More

We stopped here on our drive from Key Largo to Key West - two nice enough walks. I continue to be disappointed by the lack of water side hiking in Florida - but that aside. Part of this walk is on boardwalks, the other is...More

We were not properly prepared to hike 1 mile on Memorial Day weekend. No water, not the right shoes and 2:30 in the afternoon the hottest part of the day. We survived! It would have been much more enjoyable had we been prepared. It was...More

This was about our 5th year staying at Long Key and is still our favorite campsite in the Keys. Sites directly on the water. Clean bathrooms, nice staff. A smaller park that may not be for everyone. Not a lot of activities except the ocean...More

We have spent 2 amazing weeks here with family in a pop up camper on site 19. Every morning an ocean view every night dinner on the water. Lots of rest in the hammock and amazing snorkeling in the shallow waters. If you love to...More

Very nice location, would think you are on an isolated island. Two very nice walks, one a boardwalk.

This was a rather quick stop for us one afternoon when we wanted to get out and walk, and have some quiet time. The entrance fee of $3/per person was reasonable. We spent about 2.5 hours there one afternoon. The Golden Orb trail was very...More

We visited for the day. Enjoyed the nature trail, although we didn't get to see any wildlife. The camping looks good, but I imagine the road noise would be unpleasant. It was a pleasant way to spend an hour or two, but wouldn't go out...More

We were 'day users' and wanted to hike only but the gate attendant did not tell us that the best trail is on the Bayside part of the park and does not require a park admission. Oh well, it's a good cause and we didn't...More

We going to be tent camping at the Bahia remote campground in February and wondering if anybody has some suggestions, does and don't? Is it wise to bring bikes? How are bugs, snakes, and other critters? I see they have a wooden platform for tents and wondering what size can fit there. Any ideas would be appreciated. Happy New year to you all. Thank You

in January mosquitos are typically not around because it's cooler, not sure about no see ems. Have fun! :)
The little huts with the tents and hammocks that I see in these photos, are they actual campsites you need to reserve or first come first serve?

I believe you must reserve them through ReserveAmerica just like the other campsites. Here is the Long Key State Park office to confirm : (305) 664-4815.
