Run by the Florida State Parks system there is a small charge for entrance. and a snack area for food sold on site. Walkways and viewing areas lead you to many of the onsite animals. Great for... Have always been curious about this part of Florida. This little town offers the springs and manatees. Other than that there is not a whole lot to do. Swing by the flea market if you are there on a weekend.

We stopped with 3 teens who complained greatly. You need to go to another location for the wildlife which is accessible by boat or tram. I asked about parking and found you can take your car but there is limited parking. It has a nice walkway around the spring/canal that includes wildlife exhibits. The manatee exhibit includes an underwater observatory.... More

I was slightly unimpressed with Homosassa Springs upon my first visit, but this is only due to the cost and the distance from which I had to drive (I'm aware that is not a great reason). Just a warning I would offer is don't go too far out of your way to visit the refuge as it is expensive for... More

This was my 2nd visit over the years. You can drive into the park, ride the boat or take the trolley. Highly recommend the boat. The park staff is very accommodating to your needs no matter what they may be. As you ride down the river the captain gives a full over all history of how the park started, things... More

Three generations spent a beautiful afternoon with birds, manatees, lizards, snakes, and a hippo. A great place to see Florida wildlife...except the hippo.

A very nice wildlife park, where you can meet manatras, A giant Hippo, Alligators, tootsies eagles and much more. The park is also a rehab center for animals to be wildered again after treatment. the location in the woods, with lots of water surrounding you is stunning.

We have been here multiple times. Clean, beautiful park with a variety of animals including manatees, a hippo, bears, river otters, alligators etc. Fantastic Christmas lights over the holidays. If you enjoy your visit, you can become a "fan" with membership...totally worth it if you think you will visit more.

We loved this place! We were able to see manatee, hippo and alligators. We only had 30 minutes since we got there so late but what we saw, we thoroughly enjoyed. The big underground fish tank was so interesting. I wish we had longer to stay here.

I loved visiting this park. First and foremost, it's located in a very beautiful and special place - a spring in a cove, with amazing clear blue-green water, naturally full of wildlife (birds, manatees, fish, turtles, etc). A lot of "Old Florida" charm remains from when the park was strictly a tourist attraction alongside the park's current mission of wildlife... More
