We added on a few days in Ft Lauderdale before heading to the keys. The beach here is beautiful. Crowds were not too bad this time of year. Our first venture to a big city since COVID and was a little nervous about what to expect. About 80% of the people are wearing masks while out and about. The resorts and restaurants do seem to be enforcing it in their facilities. The restaurants get booked so would recommend you make reservations in advance. …

This beach is a public beach just miles of clean sand, light blue ocean water with a promenade on one side and the vibe of the city on the other (restaurants, cafes, hotels). You can just sit and enjoy people watching. Even in January the weather is nice. You can go for a stroll along the ocean. …
