This is quite a long stretch of clean beach with wonderful shelling (which is a particular interest of mine). In the mornings there is yoga class held right on the beach (not an interest of mine but I note it's well attended). The only thing...More

I guess May is off season here but we really enjoyed the solitude and quiet nature of these beaches. Rented a cottege within walking distance to the beach and although the weather was not great, we walked the beach a few times a day and...More

We visited this beach while on vacation in Sanibel Island. Beautiful sunset and we found 80 shark teeth. Beautiful beach!

Great, untouched beaches without the "commercial feel" of soooooo many other beaches in Florida. I would highly recommend Manasota Key!

My wife was so happy sitting , walking and generally loving life here , she called this beach her happy spot . The sand is so fine , the beach so clean and the water is so beautiful. Don't miss this little slice of beauty

Small town with a amazing beaches. Shells and sharks teeth a plenty plus yoga on the beach every morning and at sunset on some evenings. People come at sunset to drum down the sun. It is a Jim Buffett concert without the fee. Only need...More

Great beach at northern end of Manasota key. Nice bath house and picnic area. Definitely drive down "canopy" road at least on direction and check all the houses. Beach is nice and clean and easily accessible. Good for shelling and shark teeth hunting.

We have been to different beaches around the state, this one is lovely and relatively unspoiled. It's nice not to have crowds and high rise buildings. It gets 4 stars because it's not as easy to walk on which is important for us, but the...More

We went here looking for shark teeth - we didn't have any luck but plenty of people did. Bring a strainer or net to scoop up sand when waves roll on shore. Beautiful beach, no crowds. Big parking lot.

The Tom Adams drawbridge used to access the south end beach is closed this week for upgrades. One needs to access the beach from the north end of the key through this weekend.

I would go up I-75 and take the Venice, Jacaranda Exit , I believe it is 193. Go all the way on this Exit and when you reach the end turn left and head toward Englewood and at the second set of lights take the Manasota Key... More
