Interesting view of history

Beautifully displayed art museum with an excellent variety of works and rotating exhibitions. They also holds a number of events throughout the year.

The building is a beautiful very interesting example of old coral Gables architecture. The gift shop is very cute. I have found the exhibits very uneven, not so good to very nice.

Being I grew up in South Florida, I had a little knowledge of the history of Miami and I had been to Coral Gables many times as I went to the University of Miami there. I heard of Flagler and all he did but had no idea about the Merrick family and their influence on the development or actually establishment... More

I do not believe it should be categorized as a museum. It has little to offer. Few information and pieces. However you still can enjoy a 20 minutes tour there (tickets cost 7$ while I believe it should be free). I still recommend it if you are already in the area but not to get out of your way to... Most other similarly sized museums are superior to this one. Not particularly engaging, and not worth the admission. Go next door to Books & Books for a meal in their courtyard, and a browsing experience (or vice versa), instead.

Great museum and interesting to find out about Coral Gables. A must see and a beautiful museum. A good history of how Coral Gables began.

The architecture is historical, I really like it. You can find the history of Coral Gables. Current exhibits: "Capture Coral Gables 2016" and "This land is your land: A second Century for American National Parks".

We visited to find out the history of Coral Gables before exploring the area. This museum sets out the history very clearly and is very interesting.

This museum has brought a foundation for culture in the City of Coral Gables. It also has preserved the architecture of a historical building that was slowly falling apart when it housed offices of city employees that thought nothing of punching holes in the limestone walls to run wires from one room to the other in addition to other abuses.... We literally were not expecting to visit. We met my boyfriends father randomly in town. He was on his lunch break. He asked us if we had every been to the museum. We told him no. We continued to walk him back to his office. He said go this way.. We followed him down the street. He opened the door,... More
