Problem is, algae has clouded the water so that viewing manatees is problematic. A bit disappointing.

Took the camper her to meet some friends and had a wonderful time. Knowledgeable rangers, friendly and helpful. Park has a terrific BBQ stand. The relaxation is top notch. Great bike trails, and kayaking. Beautiful location. This would be a great place for a day trip if you love the outdoors. There are picnic pavilions and trails for hiking. Swimming.... More

We visited the park on our way home from Orlando. The springs are amazing so cool and crystal clear. We did not see any manatees but i did see a water moccasin in the springs and a gator in the Suwanee River which joins the springs!!! We still swam tho (: We plan on going back to camp and SUP... We first visited as day use in January. We rented a canoe for 2 hours ($20) and saw dozens of manatees in the spring which maintains a temp of 72°F year round. What a treat! We were so impressed with the park, that we returned in April for 4 nights. It's a lovely place to camp with room for big... More

We camped here for two nights. Loved it. Saw two deer and an armadillo! The bathhouses are clean and conveniently located near the campsites. Will definitely stay here again.

FL State Parks are wonderful. Manatee Springs provides very clear water for scuba diving. My BIL brings divers down from Charleston SC to work on their certification.

Drove over for a day trip from Cedar Key. The grounds are lovely, and the springs are unique with their crystal clear water. We also took a pontoon boat ride up the Swanee River. Our guide was quite knowledgeable and we enjoyed seeing the turtles, baby alligators and the river itself. Highlights of the trip were seeing a huge 8'... More

We really enjoyed this visit during our Spring Break week. Campsite was perfect. Pontoon boat tour was well worth it...Mr. Anderson is a great tour guide and host. The springs are beautiful and a constant 72 degrees...not bad with a wet suit shorty on, but my son did not complain either in a straight up swim suit. Very enjoyable. Glad... More

For only six dollars ill get you day pass given to you by a volunteer Park Ranger. This place only has three Park Rangers because of budget cutbacks by the State of Florida. There is even no outside law enforcement as the Park Rangers enforcement the Fisk & Game laws even without the use of a side arm. Volunteer Park... More
