With an all access trail, beautiful boardwalk leading to the historic Suwannee River, placards describing plants and animals, gracious staff, this is where I want my tax dollars going! Great job LSNWR staff and great job "Friends of Lower Suwanee"!

Taking the nature drive, we saw armadillos, Great Blues, Great Egrets, and deer. Tip: get out at the boardwalk to the pond. It looks like the kind of place you'd expect to find Walden.

We went to the lower swannee and it was a nice place to sit and eat and view the river. You can see the manatees here sometimes too.
