Crappie blitz

Went Bass fishing. Slow bite so we switched to crappie . We caught them on minnows and jigs. Kept a few for dinner. Caught 20 total all over 12-14"

Quiet, peaceful, beautiful. I've been coming for years and the park just keeps getting better and better. I'm camping for the first time in this park. The sites are spaced out fairly well. I've stayed in a lot of parks and this is the first time I haven't had to block up the wheels. I backed in, the sites are... More

What a wonderful park, great wide open camping area, plenty of hiking trails and bike paths. The fishing is very good. My scout troop really enjoyed our weekend camp out. The drive is very reasonable from Bradenton

My overall rating is a 3, but only because of the few amenities that some campers may want. If you want peace and quiet, pretty lakes, Florida birds, good electric and water, and a clean bathhouse, then this is the place for you. The staff were on site and very helpful. They currently have a good weekly rate. We would... More

We recently bought a travel trailer and decided to spend a few night at a campsite #57 It was one of the best times since we been camping. Right on lake... More

Set out in the backcountry, this lightly used park has miles of roads, camping, geocaching and fishing on multiple lakes.

$5 admission for day use, 4 lakes to fish, camping with water / electric and dump station at $20/nt, $100/wk - nice place. The restrooms near the campground are new and very nice. Trails were not well marked on the map; in fact, the map was pretty lousy, but we eventually did come to a boardwalk which connected to trails... More
