My family and I decided to take the day and travel to the west coast of Florida to go do some shark tooth hunting. Instead of going to the same beach we decide to try a new beach. Spent the day at this great beach. We were met on the way in by a "gopher turtle." They are abundant. Just a pleasant relaxing experience. Gorgeous million dollar homes line the entrance to the beach!

Great repeat visit. We have a collier Co beach pass but regularly visitors pay $8/vehicle to enter. Plenty of parking both in lots and along the road. There are restrooms, concession stand, picnic tables off the beach. Short boardwalk to the soft white sand. Good shelling and the water is clean.

Went to Barefoot Beach to watch the sunset. There were very few people on the beach at 5pm when we arrived. We sat and drank a long cool drink while watching the sunset. The color of the water was amazing, pastel grey, silver, and aqua, the sand is pure white. The water was very calm. As soon as we got... More

I only had an hour or so to visit when in town for a business meeting. What a gem of a beach! I saw a gopher tortoise on my way in and really enjoyed watching the shore birds. There are lots of shells and beautiful white sand. The beach was clean and in late afternoon was not crowded.

We love walking on this beach especially at low tide. Shelling is great. We saw dolphins playing and the birds were just beautiful to see. This was our second trip here and we never get tired of the walk. There is a long trail path to take or walking on the beach.

Spent the afternoon on the beach and it was great! Great sand, beautiful views, calm water. The only downside was little orangey brown bugs flying all around. They don't bit but definitely make the experience less enjoyable. That said, we would come again.

We stopped by this beach before dinner to watch the sunset. Really nice beach, not overly crowded. Great place to watch the sunset. Can walk on the beach for a long, long ways if U want.

Great beach, good facilities, lots of parking! What's not to like? This is a great place for gathering seashells, or to bring kids and build sand castles.
