This museum located in the 1908 courthouse is impressive with both permanent and temporary exhibits that cover the rich history of Polk County. The courthouse alone is worth a visit! A genealogy library is also housed in the building.

I really appreciated to scope of exhibits. While some like the local photography are temporary, we found all to be fascinating. Some place every Polk county resident should visit.
