Nice Off Season Visit
Oct 2021 • Friends
Spent a beautiful Saturday in October strolling the boardwalk. Shops were open along with a few food stands (we stopped for Thrashers fries and Kohr's custard. A nice day and a nice beach

Off season, some stores or food establishments closed

I enjoy walking the boardwalk and getting some souveniers, taffy, boardwalk fries. Less people on the off season

Nice offseason visit
Oct 2021
We've been to Rehoboth in the summer, but were passing by last week and figured we'd check it out on a beautiful fall day. Most of the food places are closed ("see our other location" signs were rampant) and the amusements are closed for the season, but clothing stores and some restaurants were open. And the fun of the boardwalk along the beach with the waves rolling in and all the people are still special, even in the fall.

Relatively short and cute, five stars!

If you are not a big fan of long walks and endless line of cheap quality stores and food joints, Reheboth will definitely fit the bill for a pleasant change. In one beautiful Autumn afternoon, we enjoyed viewing a wedding on the beach and live singing at a hotel right on the boardwalk. There are lots of interesting shops and restaurants, but they will not overwhelm you. We had ice cream sitting in a small alley and enjoying the cool breeze right off the main thoroughfare to the beach, have not found that elsewhere. Boardwalk has public restrooms and an information center, and a bandstand where live music happens in summer. Perhaps the biggest challenge is the parking, but they are free in Fall. Highly recommended once you are in the area, including when visiting the nearby Ocean City beach.

Small Beach town boardwalk.
Oct 2021
Rehoboth Beach is great small beach town. If you want big, there are options north and south. The boardwalk is not miles and miles, but it is still fun. We prefer the offseason, as it is quieter. Lots of wonderful restaurants and shopping on and off boardwalk.

Strut Your Stuff

Reho is a very inclusive beach town. The boardwalk is a fun way to show off your pecs or newly found boyfriend. There are some food offerings but the Reho official food group seems to be fries.

Secret gem of mine!

This is our 5th year at the boardwalk! It is getting better but it could have a few more vegan options. Love the atmosphere and it is just the right size! Nice to see the same favorites as well as new ones. Nobody I talk to in Ohio seems to of ever heard of it! So glad my husband found this spot!

Sounds and Sights of Rehoboth
May 2021
I grew up in the area and walked these boards countless times as a kid/teenager. I can't tell you how many nights we spent just hanging out and having fun! Now we continue to visit with our own kids.

Some things have come and gone, but it remains almost the same as ages ago. The MAJOR change that happened this year was that Dolle's is NO LONGER ON the boardwalk. It can be found on the Avenue, just a few storefronts in from the actual boardwalk. The iconic sign, however, has still remained in place. Along these boards you will find timeless treasures such as Funland Amusements, Beach Arcade, Grotto Pizza, Kohr Bros Ice Cream, Gus & Gus, Starkey's and Thrasher's Fries. There are a few notable restaurants: Victoria's and the Greene Turtle. Throw in a jewelry store, a 5&10, the kite shop, a gym & a bike shop...and that about sums it up. There are 3 oceanfront hotels on the boards: The Henlopen Hotel, the Boardwalk Plaza and the Atlantic Sands (outdoor pool). Restrooms can be found on Delaware at the Information Stand beside Funland and on Baltimore at the Lifeguard station next to Grotto's. There is also one centrally located behind the Band Stand on Rehoboth Avenue.

Overall, this is a short boardwalk at just 1 mile in length. However, you will find lots of fun and good eats squeezed in. Lots of great views of the Atlantic ocean, sunrise/sunsets, porpoises and boats can be caught from these boards. I would recommend whether it be for a stroll, sightseeing or even exercising.

Note: Smoking is prohibited on the boardwalk. Pets are also prohibited during peak season. Bikes are also prohibited during peak hours during the beach season. Please read the rules posted at the edge of the boardwalk for your enjoyment and others.

Fun Boardwalk
Sep 2021
The Boardwalk is always busy at this time of the year and a little Honkey Tonk but it is fun. There are lots of people walking around having a good time eating and enjoying the rides.

The only problem was that some businesses closed early for the season and the Boardwalk looked a little empty business wise.

Otherwise it is a lot of fun to walk around.

Lots to see
Aug 2021
Spent a Saturday afternoon mostly on the boardwalk. Lots of shops and restaurants to choose from. It was overcast so it wasn't too crowded. Enjoyed our time and the variety of shops. Sad to see the Dolles is having to move due to high rents. Public restrooms were available and overall was clean. I could see where parking could be an issue if it was busy. Worth the trip!
