Hi Karen! Thank you so much for the feedback! The introductory meeting was created by an intern a few years ago and was a HUGE improvement over the movie we used to have. Due to our limited budget, we were unable to have a professional...More

We knew nothing about the history of the lifesaving stations around the coast. The interpreter at the station had lots of stories to share about the daily life of those men and explained how the lyle gun was used to rescue sailors. We also took...More

I'm in awe of the surfmen! This was such an experience to see. Somewhat off the beaten path, this stop in the Delaware Seashore State Park offers the history behind the men who saved endangered passengers and crew in the waters off Fenwick Island. After...More

This museum, if nothing else, will give you an appreciation of the people who used to man this station, their job, year round, was to head into the water for rescues...a mighty dangerous job but taken very seriously

We watched the six minute film in the visitor center first, which was very helpful in understanding the history of the USLSS. The station has been re-positioned and beautifully restored, down to the original paint colors. Unique and very interesting little known part of history.

It is a bit small and out of the way. Most people don't even know that it exists. The guides are always informative and friendly. The place is good for pictures and history.

This is a really neat place to visit, takes you back in time and puts things into perspective of how things were done. It's a cool little movie and a self guided tour, I would do it again. Give it at least a try once!!

Cute gift shop, and very friendly staff. The main reason I've gone here is to pick up Delaware State Park pass. They also sell surf fishing vehicle passes. The museum is small and restored to appearance of a century ago. If seashore history is of...More

This lifesaving station is well maintained and is a self guided tour. This facility offers all types of activities throughout the year. To me, it is one of Sussex Counties best places to visit.
