See listing for Blockhouse Pond. This Park basically surrounds the Pond including benches, a gravel path, and a pretty large pavilion. It's nice for a walk especially if the weather is good. There are geese about, so watch your step (for poop).

I've visited this park several times for outdoor meetings at the Gazebo. Enjoyed it - each time the facilities were clean and well cared for.

I discovered this lake, first on my gps and then decided to take a look. It is near the Beebe Hospital, so if you are in that area, you should take the time to walk over to the park. There is a picnic pavilion, children's play area and a lovely paved walkway that goes around the lake.

My grandfather was George h.p. Smith, and as the first black mayor in the first city of DE he was proud of the park that was named after him. It's a beautiful place in a gorgeous town where everyone knows your name. I no longer live in Lewes; but I can't imagine a better place to rest, relax, and raise... More
