The beach looks like it would get narrow at high tide but's long. I need to go in the summer to see how crowded it gets.

You can walk up to Rehoboth or even down to the national seashore. It is beautiful and not crowded in the spring. Very wonderful experience.
Clean and not too far to walk to from the hotel we stayed at. I heard there are bonfires on the beach in the summertime. I cannot wait to go back.
lots of good places to eat and this is a dog friendly beach after 6pm your dogs are welcome on the beach during season and its always been clean no problem. Its also not expensive to eat there. I have been going to Dewey for years.LOVE IT
Visited during the off season. Was really nice to have the beach almost to myself! Walked for miles enjoyed the waves and the frolicking Dolphins. A short ride to Rohobeth if you want more people interaction.
I visited the beach during the off season. I really enjoyed my time on Dewey Beach. It was quiet and peaceful and though the weather was warm there were only a few folks on the beach -some playing with their dogs, some taking a quiet stroll, some frolicking at the edge of the water and others just watching the waves.... How warm can we expect the water to be in early July? If we are looking to spend multiple days swimming and relaxing on a beach, is this a good spot to go? Thanks!
