The Fort Delaware State Park on Pea Patch Island is a very interesting spot for a visit while you are in the area. It is unique and offers an insight into area history that you cannot find elsewhere.

Walked through the area this evening. I was playing Pokemon Go but there are restaurants, bar, ice cream shop and just a nice area to walk by the water.

Take a 12.00/10 minute round trip ferry from Pennsville to Pea Island . Tour takes about an 1 1/2 . No eatery on site. Admission is free. Eat before trip or after. Local eateries are in Pennsville.

Enjoyed our visit to this state park. the nice little ferry ride was enjoyable. We happened to go on a weekend that had reenactments which made the visit even more enjoyable. Even though it was extremely hot that day, I still enjoyed the visit
