This is a brewery and pub all in one with a fantastic range of ales of all types and strengths. It was busy when I visited but the staff were able to explain the different ales and were very friendly. Also ate at the pub which provided good quality local food in a large menu. Excellent experience and I would... More

Delightful a varied amount of eminently quaffable beer. 16 real ales including their own brewery. Dog theme titles their beers. Collie Wobbles, golden retriever, A bit of Ruff, Shiz Tsu faced, etc, as well as outside brewery beers eg Coniston bluebird, Loweswater etc thoroughly enjoyable

We ate here in April. Good pub food and fabulous well kept beer. You can sample several beers at a time in third of a pint glasses. For a beer lover this is the place to go. They even brew their own beer.

Always looking to find local beer we found this place when staying the South Lakes. Had originally gone to the Wild Boar but couldn't get in as there was a wedding party. No matter as we found this gem. Taking a small lane out of Crook we drove to Ings (four gates on the way, glad I had a passenger).... More

GREAT selection of ales...worth a visit JUST for that alone! They brew their own, so couldn't be closer to the brewery! The food also looks top notch, though we did not eat on our last visit. The pub itself is cosy, with lots of dogs. So if you are bringing your furry companion on holiday, they are most welcome here!... More

I Was lucky enough to stay in a cottage just down the road from this pub and it became our local. The food was delicious especially the beef and ale pie and the wine was also very tasty. On the walk home one night I was also lucky enough to see a shooting star which made this pub experience even... More

Been here so many times since I was about 7 and I have loved it everytime I have been there. On this occasion it was the first time I have been able to drink, my father and I basically tried all the beers. Love how dogs are allowed in and how they name their beers after them. How anybody can... More

Just noticed that you can review the Watermill on 2 sites, this one and the one for the Watermill Inn. Wondered where my previous reviews had gone!

So many different ales to try, light, dark, pale, golden, fruity hoppy malty.............the list goes on, having been a lager drinker for 30 years I have never fancied 'real ales' I do now. The even give you a chance to have a 1/3rd pint of three different brews so you can try them..............need I say more??
