Roseland Cottage sits on a large piece of land right in the center of Woodstock, CT, and it is a must-see if you are in the area. If you're not, it's worth a detour. The formal garden is amazing! With boxwood borders, the beds are...More

Beautiful historic house, with an equally beautiful garden. Very knowledgeable guides and helpful staff made our visit even more pleasant. We were particularly impressed by the lincrusta wall papers, unique! If you're in the area, it is definitely worth a visit.

Great historic restoration that's a gem example of period architecture. The grounds are well-cared for by a local collective of volunteers, and the Bowen family history gives a glimpse into early days of industrial grandeur.

From the outside it is beautiful but the inside is also worth touring. Well worth the price of admission.

Great artists! Good food! The prices were expensive though. I know it's a lot of work, but too pricey. The food booths were awesome! Homemade foods were great and the prices were reasonable.

A nice guided tour of the grounds and house, knowledgable docent, fascinating history and insight into the lives of this family. One would expect opulence but instead you will find rather down to earth living in the rural area............although the personal bowling alley is definitely...More

Roseland Cottage is a national treasure not only because of its rare Gothic Revival architecture and boxwood lined parterres but because of its historical connections. Henry Bowen was a local boy who made good in business and as owner of "The Independent" newspaper. He brought...More
