I actually walked across the ocean in low tide on compo beach, from elviras end, ending up at sherwood island by mistake in july. It was one of those summer days which transcends everything; a certain beauty at the sea as the sun shimmered silver...More

Good place to come and walk. There is also a beach and few disc golf baskets. Good place to walk around with kids, but could definitely benefit from playground.

A very pleasant place to go for a day trip in the Fall or Spring to soak up a little sun on the L.I Sound. Not sure I would want to go in the summer, based on the fairly large parking lot and relatively small...More

Being on the "sound" it a protected waterway. There are no waves. It is however a wonderful beach in an upscale CT town.

Dogs are allowed starting October 1. Its's a good size park and there are walking trails that you can take your dog on. I've been there with my dog and it's been really nice. Hope you enjoy your time there.
