If you are in the Hartford area, the West Hartford Center is a very short Uber or Taxi ride away. It's about a mile from Downtown Hartford but not a walkable one. The Center is the original town center and the amenities have grown up to support the West Hartford community with extraordinary restaurants of every genre, great pubs, lovely... More

Blue Back Square and the Town Center are the envy of the surrounding communities. Where else can you go: where you can grab a great coffee, see a movie, do shopping and find a great outfit... all in a four hour period. West Hartford is a great community, easy to walk and friendly people are a plus. Welcome to HIP... More

Girls weekend in the Hartford area would not be complete with out a walk around this very cute town. Many restaurants and shops to wander around in. Most of the restaurants have outdoor seating and happy hours. The stores close on the early side so if you want to shop get there before 6 pm.

The center has an incredible variety of restaurants and shops. As a resident I can do my banking , buy hardware, wine, groceries and in the evening have a great dinner and see a movie. The only thing lacking in town is a good music venue.

West Hartford has an actual city center where locals and visitors come to hang out. Most of the restaurants have outdoor seating, the shops keep evening hours, its a good collection of known chains and local shops that have carved a niche that makes the shopping interesting and fun. Within walking distance are bookshops, markets, movie theater, plenty of paid... More

Well, I live in West Hartford, and I must say, if you are coming for the very first time I encourage you to walk the tree lined streets. However going more than once, I don't recommend at all. I only go to WH Center to go to the library, rarely anything else. There is nothing to do except for eating... More

This area is one of West Hartford's main attractions, unfortunately I am not in their planned demographic. It's popular with the 25 to 40 age group, which is it's target market. Plenty of trendy shops and food joints. If you're over 50 find something friendlier to our age group.

I'm from NY and this area of town is our only saving grace. The center is fun to walk around, shop and eat. The stores use to be better but it still is good to walk around on a nice day. The restaurants are always good.

This is a really beautiful area. Parking can be a challenge if you need to park close otherwise, there are parking lots and meters on the streets for a some walking. The area features beautiful galleries, high end decorator stores, wonderful higher end spices, beauty supplies, toys and there are good restaurants all over. It's a nice little travel destination...
