Hidden Gem!
Dec 2019
One of the highlight of our trip was an unplanned stop at the Woolen Mill. Was treated to a tour of the facility, and walked through the entire process, from beginning to end. Lovely hostess answered many questions given by our group of 8. Then shopped to our hearts delight, and the clerk (whose name I did not get...), was so patient with us. Shipped our goodies home and now are eagerly waiting for them to arrive!

The real thing.

As a tourist its easy to get roped into the fancy shops on the main streets of basically every hamlet in Ireland. Kerry Woolen mils is the opposite. A 300 year operation, which is authentic as it is charming. With a wide range, and the best pricing I've seen, by a long shot. This is now the only place I send folks.

Big Wheel Keeps On Turning....
Oct 2019
My sister-in-law is big into spinning her own yarn so we had to visit this place. It is off the beaten path but worth the trip. We actually got to meet the owner of the working mill and his dog which was pretty cool. Nice quality products at good prices. Friendly staff. We would recommend.

It is a bit off the beaten path, but if you are looking for traditional styles this is a great stop for high quality woolen clothing.

Nice selection
Sep 2019 • Friends
This shop had a nice selection of product and pricing was in line with everyone else. Heard we could get a tour or info on the process and such but that did not happen when I asked. We did enjoy the area and visiting the shop to peek inside the mill and see the system for what we planned to buy. Ended up with a men’s sweater not getting ladies until we got to a different shop.

If you can, go here for souvenir shopping!

One of the only working woollen mills left in Ireland, here you are certain that your knitted woollen sweater is indeed Irish and locally made. They have a wide selection, both in colour and size, different patterns and for different budgets. If you want to get crafty yourself, they also sell beautiful hand dyed knitting wool. (Also available online through their website by the way.)

Wished we went on a weekday
Jun 2019 • Friends
Lots of goods and yarn for sale. But wished we went on a weekday so we could see the mill running. The super nice lady manning the shop on our visit admitted that she did not know much about the process, but was kind enough to show me the machines. If there is a next time, will do it on a weekday

This quaint, slightly off the beaten path, working woolen mill, only one of two still producing wool and wool products in Ireland was a hidden gem. The staff bent over backwards, taking us on an unsolicited tour of the small factory and providing us with top quality products made from their wool. The small on site shop was a delight with ample products for children to adults. Well worth a visit.

The ladies were amazing. High standard of service. Very obliging organising to send items home and get items from other shops to complete order. Gorgeous products. Finished to a high standard.

See beautiful woolen fabric woven on sight.

See fabric woven on an old hand operated loom. An opportunity to view and purchase some wonderful Irish woolens.
