The view can be good on a clear day but unfortunately our Connecticut beaches are not very nice. Our first trip was at low tide and you had to walk on top of snails and between clumps of saw grass to get out in the...More

I am sorry, I have read some of the reviews on Harvey's and being a new resident in the town of Old Saybrook I can only say this beach needs work! The parking lot is a mess and I can over look that but the...More

We were there during low tide, so much fun. Plenty of places on the sandbars to sit, walk and explore. The Sands were full of tiny creatures to enjoy. The water was clean and refreshing. Much fun.

Amazing how clean and well kept this beach was. Kinda small, but it was perfect for a lazy summer day! I will be back in the winter, cant wait to see it when it snows.

We had a great day at Harvey Beach, just make sure you check the tide chart. At low tide, there's lots of beach with fun tide pools. Just be careful to keep an eye on your blanket and chairs when the time rolls in. At...More

There was trash all over the parking lot overflowing and the beach had trash everywhere. It was filthy!! I was terrified to let my grandchildren play in the sand!! The food cart was closed and the bathroom was one stall!

My husband and I love this beach - it is usually crowded but that is what we like - to see kids playing in the sand and water and the fun family atmosphere. People on this beach are always so very friendly too. Its a...More

It's on Great Hammock Rd. If you hit the beach with parking on both sides of the road, you've passed it. You have to go by a booth to get into the parking lot.

I don't believe there are any additional charges beyond parking, but you would have to check with the town of Old Saybrook. They run the beach.
