This mill is located underneath the bridge that connects New London and Groton - you hear the traffic while you look at the mill - The building was closed, but seeing the outside and the surroundings was very nice.

My wife and I were looking for a few minutes to kill and saw this place. It's hard to find and no parking, but it's a cute and interesting place. I wouldn't make a special trip to see it but not too bad if in...More

Worth the visit - and please leave a donation to keep this wonderful place open. The waterwheel is actually running. The place is under Rt95, so it's noisy. You won't be able to video the ambient sounds...

Love old mills. This is a hidden gem amongst all the big, state of the art bridges. Worth the trek. It sits under the bridges and has a pull out. Great photo ops.

This is the site of the original 1650 mill, but that burned down in the early 1800's and this is the replacement. So the "built 1650" sign is a bit deceptive. Not much to see. Wheel not working and inside is office space.

Having read the previous reviews, I knew this would be a short stop. We found it very easily and yes, it is located under the highway. It was not opened which again not a surprise. This little gem was a great foliage picture spot. So...More

This is good for a five minute visit if you are in the area but don't go out of your way for it. The grounds are open all the time, but the building has extremely limited hours, like a few hours on certain weekends. I...More

Had some time to kill and thought I would do a quick stop. It amazes me that society developed around this and for all practical purpose, time stands still gor this structure. I would not make a special trip more than 5 miles out of...More
