Interactive, innovative and inclusive museum with hands-on exhibits,...

Interactive, innovative and inclusive museum with hands-on exhibits, observation bee hive, the Great Green Room from Goodnight Moon, and a post office. Each of the 8 exhibits is inspired by the Theory of Multiple Intelligences, articulated by Harvard psychologist, Howard Gardner. This is a rich and resourceful, cutting edge educational theory, which recognizes the multiplicity of children's intelligences and honors the different ways children learn.

Nice, small museum with a focus on children-led play. Rooms had materials to create and explore with a minimalist feel. FYI - the phone booth downstairs is real and rings - people in the Good Night Moon room can call it!! This fascinated my granddaughter - maybe because she may never have seen a dial phone or phone booth in... More

This is the best place to go with your young children in the new haven area. If you can make it for story time on the weekend you are in for a treat. The rooms are organized around a multiple intelligence theory of child development taught at Yale. You won't want to leave and your kid certainly won't. Enjoy!

Where else can you go with little ones and actually encourage them to touch and explore the things around them? The multiple intelligences are the focus of this museum. Each room is a treasure trove, especially, the Good Night Moon room!

the museum is really a nice gem for the city. a number of interactive and dramatic play areas including the bedroom scene from Goodnight Moon. Very cool exhibit of bees. Popular destination for preschool groups with limited availability during the week so be sure to check the schedule before you go

Limited hours and It's very crowded on Saturdays. age ranges from little ones to older elementary kids. Some parents just let the kids run wild and my little ones didn't feel comfortable after awhile. Rooms get dirty quickly and I don't think there's enough time for staff to go around and pick up after each mess.

This is a wonderful museum for children, and adults! Lots & lots of hands-on stuff to do. You could spend hours here, thoroughly investigating the items in each room.

A wonderful museum in New Haven but beware because their public hours are limited to Friday and Saturday from 12-5. There is a small snack room where you can take a break and have a snack that you brought from home, but no food is sold onsite. This a wonderful museum with many different themed rooms including a recreation of... More
