A great walk

There are lots and lots of big old buildings. If you are into architecture this is a great place to walk around

Yale goes all out to impress. The architecture is mainly Gothic. We took a tour with our daughter who is applying for colleges. It seems like Yale is trying to outdo Harvard for the most impressive buildings. We were able to tour the library which is designed like a Gothic Cathedral. Definitely over the top.

Granted that I don't visit that many institutions of higher learning, I was still astounded by the exterior beauty of many of the buildings at this famous university. Inside some of the dorms is less memorable, but Yale has a wonderful atmosphere of history mixed with the present day.

One of the most beautiful campuses I have ever been to. It's downtown, and many of the courtyards are closed to the public (the students use access cards to get in and out), but you can get in and grab some shots as they go in and out.

Beautiful campus that is impeccably maintained. Unbelievable professors. Administration is top notch. But the thing that is most incredible about Yale College is the students. We were blown away by the kids we met. They are astonishingly accomplished, humble and friendly.

I arrived to New Haven in the afternoon and we only had one night. So we went for a walk to the Yale University. The ambiance of this unviersity on a Saturday afternoon was magnificient, it was slowly snowing and the university bells were playing a medolic music. I felt like in a romantic wintertale! The university itself was beautiful... More

While attending a conference in New Haven, I took a few hours to walk around the University campus. There was definitely a "Wow" factor. Just outstanding examples of what I would call "Gothic." Beautiful facades, gates, courtyards, and iron grill work. The thought that came to my mind, "Was it is amazing what money can buy." I have visited the... More

Took an early morning walk through the campus grounds with my camera and left with many wonderful photos of this beautiful place! What a splendid mix of new and old architecture. Highly recommend taking the time to self tour this amazing campus.
