We had not been to Mystic Seaport in many years. We bought passes at a charity auction specifically to give us a reason to return. Our visit was not disappointing. It is still off season, so even though it was a little cool the visit was truly enjoyable. We were among a small number of visitors and one could spend... More

The knowledge of volunteer docents was notable, and their willingness to engage, made this a really wonderful morning visit...could easily see returning as we felt we had barely scratched the surface! If you're at all interested in one of the economic drivers of our nation--ships and seafaring-- and are willing to ask a few questions and spend some time, you'll... More

In my opinion unless you are really into boats especially wooden boats the visit was not worth the hype. Really not much to do.

Educational, clean, large open air exhibits, with some indoor, exceptional value for you money. A must see if you like ships and the sea.

This outdoor museum has several old ships you can board and tour, as well as era-appropriate shops and exhibits in the various buildings on the grounds. If the weather is wet, be sure to wear boots as many sections are not paved and can get muddy. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable.

I've been here multiple times over the years, and it never disappoints. It is a great trip as a family or couples. My children were young when I visited (almost 2, 4 & 7), they enjoyed themselves (especially my 2 oldest). Was also here as a couple, in the winter, and we still had a blast!
