Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The atmosphere is unique. You have à feeling of returning to the place one hundred years ago. À walk in style of the artists Helene Scherfbeck is to be recommended for everyone. À visit to the cafe Gamla Stan is a must: coffee and some salty pastry or sweet cakes and some Apple juice.

Very nice old town, especially in the summer. Some beautiful old wooden houses around the market square. Also some nice shops and cafeterias in the same neighborhood.

The old Ekenäs town is very nice and narrow with the streets and buildings. The traffic arrangement are special. In some direction you cannot drive and in one place the road will stop in the middle.

The Old twon area in Tammisaari is worth a visit and you can walk around the area and look at nice old houses. There is also some historical parts with explanation texts.
The mirrors in some house windows shows that some of the inhabitants are or have been curious whats happening.

Tammisaari, Ekenäs in Swedish, is a typical Finnish summer city right at the cost. The whole area is a part of the Swedish speaking areas west of the metropolitan Helsinki. It's really worth visiting, eat local food,
take a two - three hour lunch cruise in the archipelago! After July 21 you can try a cray fish party, Finnish style!

When I first visited the Old Town I thought I was in Sweden. It looks like old Swedish town - and most speak Swedish here too. It's just cool to walk slowly through the town - and remember to visit Café Gamla Stan - great coffee and cakes. They also have kept the old publish punishment equipment - yup in the old days you would get a public spanking if not behaving well!

Though this town is small with not many points of interests, somehow I like the peacefulness of this little town. I enjoyed walking around, visiting some of the shops, the church including the popular cake shop..where I had a slice of yummy strawberry cake! I like the shores, the pier and the many boats n yachts parked there, just beautiful..

Tammisaari has its own Old Town. It is small, and while it’s one of its kind it’s not all positive. Good place to visit if in the city anyway.

Visited second time at this amazing old town and it seems that sun always shines in Tammisaari. Nicely renovated old buildings in old town with beautiful little shops and cafes to visit.
