I was born in Hartford, and nothing is as indicative of Hartford as a city and soulless vacuum that has sucked all hope from its people like Bushnell Park. On the outside, Bushnell Park seems rather nice. Conveniently located, great views of the amazing Connecticut...More

I Iike parks. They are usually interesting, have pretty gardens, great trees, etc. This park had some very nice old trees. But, no flower beds, Just a huge amount of grass. The paths could use some work. The one fountain we saw was broken and...More

A good place to walk prior to enjoying the restaurants of downtown Hartford. As the weather changes the park begins to come alive with its carousel and pond.

Bushnell Park is a lovely place to visit. I visited in March and there was snow on the ground but I am certain it is a fantastic place to be in the summer time. There are many things to do at Bushnell Park. The park...More

Bushnell Park is right below the State Capitol. It's also the first urban park in America. It has a remarkable memorial arch, a functioning carousel and plenty of greenery. Nice place for a stroll.

There isn't anything special about this park, but it's always nice having green space in a city. It has a carousel, a water feature, an old fountain, and hosts concerts during the summer. During winter, an ice-skating rink is set up.

As far as parks go, this is a nice one. Not much goes on in the winter time. A place to ice skate. I think that's about it. The summer time is when it comes to life. Jazz bands and other things. Nice place to...More

Dogs are welcome, but there is no off leash area for them. Animals are required to be under control and on a leash at all times, persuant to city and state law.
