It is fine for younger kids up to maybe eleven years old. I am fimiliar with several science centers and Hartford’s is just fair. You will be board within forty five minutes.

My 7 year old granddaughter and I had a ball trying all the different activities. It was vacation week for her but not for the local schools. There were little to no lines for most activities. We particularly enjoyed the laser harp, the run against...More

the exhibits are fun and educational and the special traveling exhibits are always engaging and well thought out. The facility is clean and the staff are friendly. Sadly the building is very tall and the way the stairs and elevators are laid out with all...More

Visited here during the Harry Potter weekend, because of this it was quite crowded. Very long lines for exhibits-especially the Harry Potter of course. Most of our time spent here was in line-unfortunately some people really think nothing of monopolizing an exhibit for an extended...More

Hands down the best museum in Connecticut. It’s huge and clean and well-lit. Lots to do for kids of all ages. Easy parking. Would definitely go again.

The connecticut science center has become one of my kids favorite destinations. We spent great time there on every visit. I just think they should include the butterfly effect experience in the visit instead of the separate charge. Very educational experience for the children because...More

This was a truly great and educational experience. I honestly wasn’t expecting it to be as great as it was. My two boys don’t stay anywhere for too long. They get bored easily. But this place has 6 floors which occupied about 4.5 hours of...More

A single visit is hardly enough, and membership makes it SO much better. This place has three stories of really terrific hands-on exhibits. It's like a 3-story hands-on learning playground.
