Although we were camping at Rocky Neck State Beach Park, the beach there was so crowded we decided to check out other near by beaches. We had to pay to park here, but the beach was nice, and definitely less crowded. However, there wasn't any shade, so we got pretty burned even with sunscreen.

Visited with our 2 year old son and he loved it! Lots to do for his age and up. We had a great time! The beach looked clean...we'd like to come back when it's warm enough to swim!

Nice clean well maintained, with lifeguard. Nice playground at top of the park. Great place to relax. Very busy on weekends and holidays, get there early. The view of the Power plant takes a little bit of the beauty of this location.

McCook Beach provided a nice place for the family to have fun. The beach is quaint yet not crowded. The water was warm and there were not much waves. McCook's offers a playground up the hill from the beach which is a short 2 min walk. It gave my girls a nice break from the beach.

I attended a music festival there. Tents were set up on the grassy area adjacent to the playground above the beach. Parking was free for people attending the festival. It was a great play to hear live music and enjoy the beautiful views with friendly people. I love this park.

Years had passed since I visited this small Niantic village beach and park. A fenced area requiring a hefty per day parking fee of $25 for non-residents and a $10 fee for residents. A parking permit can be obtained from the town's Park and Rec. Office. Seasonal restrooms as well as playground area for children and picnic tables. Gorgeous views... More

Great little park and beach-- the offseason allows visitors to skip the fee to park. A nice sheltered little beach, great for finding shells, digging in the sand, or just watching the waves. Atop the hill is a large well-kept playground that overlooks the beach and gives spectacular views. A great way to spend a warm spring day!
