We took the Ski train up to Winter Park to ski for the day. We took our little granddaughters who had an absolute blast! The train is wonderful. The scenery is amazing. It's the easiest way to go! We would recommend it for everyone. Very...More

This is an interesting historic site, and its fun to see the train pop out if you are there at the right time. You can look it up online and read about how it got here. It truly was an engineering marvel for its time....More

The Moffat Tunnel has a great story and is interesting to go up to the entrance and see. You can walk right up to it from The Village at Winter Park.

Wonderful ride up from Denver. The "hosts", conductors, everyone were incredibly . The moffet tunnel is the end of the line, and Ta da there you are in the middle of everything, snow, skiers, shops and restaurants.

Winter Park/ Mary Jane ski areas are the only ski areas in North America serviced by train. This is the way to "see" the Moffat tunnel. Amtrak also goes through the tunnel from Denver or Fraser.

West Portal is a great history story but realistically, not much to see. On the other hand if you take the train you will be treated to incredible views and of course the ski resort is right there at West Portal. Good history and I...More

What a great way to see history and a 360 view of the mountain range. This was my 1st Colorado hike in the Mountains. Being from Indiana, I didn't think the hike was too bad. This was my ultimate favorite trailhead.
