One of our favorite places to visit. There is always something new going on and something to interest all age groups. The treats at Rosebank cottage are always a delicious bonus. The little picnic area on the edge of Lake Lawson has a stunning view...More

We are so glad we took the time to stop and tour this phenomenal farm. The docents are in period costume, but more interesting was the fact that they are truly working the farm, not just actors playing a part. This is the original farm...More

Not an extensive museum, but they do well with their living history interpreters. Lots if farm animals, machinery & growing vegetables to keep kids (& adults) interested. The horse & buggy ride was the best. I am told to come back when there is snow...More

The museum is well worth the short detour from the main tourist routes. See a slice of Nova Scotia history brought to life by a friendly, talented staff. The out-of-the-way setting is perfect. Not only is it tremendously scenic with panoramic views across the rolling...More

After living most of my life in Nova Scotia, I am ashamed to admit I have never been here until now. Stopping in on a beautiful Autumn day, we had the museum to ourselves. Some of the displays were closed, but what was available was...More

A short jaunt from Halifax, the Ross Farm Museum is a great immersive experience for both young and old. Go on a wagon ride or nature walk, visit the Cooper and Blacksmith (sometimes the same man!), meet the team of oxen, see many farm animals...More
