Vail....Where the rich and famous come to play. We visited in the Summer and even then the place is still a buzz with mountain bikers and hikers up on the mountains. Vail Village is mostly pedestrian only with the exception of the local village shuttle bus. Town Center is made up of beautiful chalet style luxury resorts and quaint little... More

Family friendly, incredibly fun. Lots to do, make reservations, the best places are tough to get into. A little pre planning goes a long way towards making your time better. Thank goodness for a fantastic wife that handles these things!

The faux "European" architecture feels a bit too much well-groomed. Unlike other ski resorts in the Rocky Mountains, Vail is not an old gold mining town. V first arose as the ski lifts and slopes were built in the 60's. Therefore, a visit to Vail something completely different, and the city is in the Bavarian coulisse style. It is mainly Vail... More

This is the place to be for the days that you may not ski. Lots to do - hang out, shop, dine inside or outside, shop or visit the many art galleries. Want adventure - its here, you can snowmobile in the winter or river raft in the summer. This is a world class destination for family, business or couples.

Vail Mountain has some of the best ski runs in the world. The Village has ever amenity possible. What is best is the cleanliness of the Village and the high standard of maintenance. It is unbelievably pretty. It is also pricey

The Vail Valley (which is really the Eagle River Valley) has all the features any vacationer might want. In the winter there is skiing at two premium resorts, Vail and Beaver Creek, ice skating at 4 different rinks, cross country skiing, dog sledding, 3 movie theaters and and almost infinite number of high end restaurants and hotels. In the summer... More

I love everything about Vail - convenience getting there from Houston, TX, their village, stores and restaurants and, of course, slopes. Will try to return every year:-))

Crowded, no parking, traffic - hardly the ingredients for a vacation. We staying a a AirBnB rental in West Vail which was Ok. I'd not stay in West Vail again, though.

Even older persons can find your winter inner self in Vail. With so many wonderful choice to dine and the wonderful shopping you can fly into Vail Eagle and take the shuttle and never need your vehicle. Should you decide to leave the area for some sight seeing there are other options. We did a couple of excursions with a... More
